Ultrafiltration
A Finer Level of Filtration
Ultrafiltration takes filtration further, designed to remove harmful bacteria and viruses, while keeping valuable nutrients.
What is Ultrafiltration?
The VIFRA PURA ultrafiltration system uses an extremely fine porous membrane and is designed to remove organic pollution from water.

Part of a Larger System
While Ultrafiltration is a powerful tool, as a single point barrier, it provides little residual sanitation downstream.
There is no Magic Bullet in water treatment. This is why Dramm takes a multi-pronged approach.
For this reason, Ultrafiltration is typically implemented as one part of a larger system.

Barrier Water Treatment vs Holistic Water Treatment with Complete Ozone Systems
Filtration systems, heat-pasturization and ultra-violet sanitation systems all employ a barrier to eliminate or prevent contaminants from moving down stream of the barrier. This method may remove undesirable components in your water, but they do not provide any residual sanitation in the plumbing and other equipment downstream and they do nothing to help promote the health of the crop.
